Scoring

The PTE test is graded on a scale of 0 to 90, both for the total score and for each of the separate modules (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking). The PTE exam results also provide scores in the Enabling Skills categories, which include Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Written Discourse, with ranges from 0 to 90. On occasion, certain score thresholds on certain sub-criteria are also requested by some institutions.

Test Format

The PTE exam format is comparable to the IELTS exam, but it differs slightly. The four communication modules of the test are speaking, reading, writing, and listening. While the Speaking and Writing modules are combined and conducted as a single unit, the Listening and Reading modules are conducted individually. The overall test lasts three hours. All question types are timed because this is a computer test, and you must finish them before the timer runs out.

Exam costs

 BDT 15,930 is the regular PTE Academic exam fee. The PTE Late Booking Fee of BDT 16,728  must be paid if the candidate books their PTE exam less than 48 hours before the PTE test date.

Score Reliability

Your test results are valid for two years from the test date.
